Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (RPVC)
Best value for performance. Excellent chemical resistance, self-extinguishing. Available in clear or natural form, glossy or dull finish. Barbour Plastics typical notched izod for rigid PVC: 13-20. Barbour Plastics marine-grade PVC has excellent UV stability.

Polycarbonate (PC)
Specific Gravity 1.20 (COMPPC)
Excellent toughness, transparency, and UV. High gloss, water clear in appearance
Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
Specific Gravity 0.924 (COMPMA)
Good toughness and flexibility. Low heat and temperature resistance.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
pecific Gravity 0.955 (COMPMB)
Higher in rigidity and strength than LDPE. Better low temperature characteristics than LDPE, but less flexible.
Polypropylene (PP)
Specific Gravity 0.90 (COMPMJ)
Limited heat resistance, moderate strength. PP has a good balance of thermal and chemical properties.
Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)
Specific Gravity 1.22 (COMPTU)
Excellent resistance to fluctuations in temperature, fungus, moisture, and gas. Superior tensile strength and abrasion resistance.
Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV)
Specific Gravity 0.96 (COMPSN)
Good adhesion and bonding characteristics. Fairly good temperature resistance.
Polystyrene (PS)
Specific Gravity 1.04 (COMPRZ)
Easy processing, great clarity. High- Impact polystyrene has good impact resistance, and is light-weight.
